RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Ali Nekounam, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, referred to the enemies’ attempts to harm the Shi’ah by establishing sects and groups such as the English or Mi6 Shi’ah and said, “The establishment and activities of this sect are one of the programs that the enemies have been supporting against the Islamic Revolution.”
He added, “The enemies have planned and meddled in various ways to infiltrate the Islamic system and cause serious damage to it. One of the methods that the enemies are very fond of, have hopes for and have funded and offered many facilities for, is the creation of the English Shi’ah sect.”
Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam said that there are several satellite channels which belong to the English Shi’ah sect and noted, “These networks have a great cost but the enemies give these channels to certain sects and groups to equip themselves and they use the Shi’ah name against Shi’ism and pure Islam.”
The Friday prayer leader of Shahr-e Kord said, “With the establishment of the English Shi’ah sect, the enemies want to portray the Shi’ahs as harsh, merciless, and illogical and want to isolate the pure and jihadi Shi’ahs. The English Shi’ah are causing the worst blow to the body of Shi’ism and the sworn enemies of Shi’ism and Islam like the United States and the United Kingdom want the same.”
He said that the enemies have invested heavily in harming the Shi’ahs, saying, “The enemies support English Shi’ism in terms of money, equipment and other issues. For this reason, we see that when several people from this group attacked the Iranian embassy in London [on March 9, 2018], the British police didn’t oppose them.”
Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam stated, “Unfortunately, the English Shi’ah sect have misused the compromise that exists in the country with them. Those who are considered as the leaders of this sect say whatever they want against the Islamic system, its values and Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent] every day and when nothing is done to stop them, they are emboldened.”
He noted, “Compromise has limits and levels and the anti-Islamic activities of this group must be dealt with in a proper and rational approach in order that this group and its supporters realize that the Islamic system is powerful.”
In conclusion, the Iranian politician added, “Pure Shi’ism has opened the path in the world today and has something worth stating and has drawn hearts to it. For this reason, permission must not be given for some to denounce pure Shi’ism and isolate it.”
The term English or Mi6 Shi’ism refers to a deviated form of Shi’ism propagated by British intelligence to weaken Islam and sow discord among Muslims.
