RNA – In an interview with Reza News Agency, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi argued that the deceptive, disloyal and dishonest face of the United States was revealed by President Donald Trump with his withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and stated, “The United States has lost international credibility and has been recognized as a violator of international law and international treaties in the world and its allies will no longer trust it.”
The representative of the people of Khuzestan province in the Assembly of Experts added that the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA has increased the unity of the Iranian people in opposition to the United States and in defence of the rights of the people and said, “The commotion and celebrations which took place by some at the time of the signing of the JCPOA demonstrate that they had relied on a mirage and this mirage demonstrated that there must not be hope in the United States and foreign agreements.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi continued, “The United States’ withdrawal from the JPCOA has demonstrated that relying on domestic capabilities and domestic solidarity is the path towards domestic strength, economic openness and an departure from the current problems. Relying on foreign agreements does not lead to the opening up of economic problems.”
His Eminence stressed that the withdraw of the United States from the JCPOA was a strikethrough on the diplomacy of compromise and that economic openings are only obtained through revolutionary diplomacy. Therefore, revolutionary diplomacy must replace the diplomacy of compromise.
He said, “Despite the United States’ great efforts to force the people and the Islamic system to compromise and retreat from its revolutionary positions, but with the guidance of the Supreme Leader, only nuclear issues were the basis for the negotiations with the United States which led the Americans preferring to leave the JCPOA.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi said withdrawing from the JCPOA benefits the Islamic system and the Iranian people the opening of the economy, in the Resistance Economy and overcoming difficulties and said, “Trump is great fool and committed a strategic mistake that will have many implications for the Americans.”
Stating that the Europeans are not trustworthy, the Iranian scholar and politician argued, “Our politicians must learn from the disloyalty of the Americans and take serious guarantees from European countries, otherwise they will prevent the plan to withdraw from the JCPOA and the continuation of nuclear power and the people of Iran.”
Speaking in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House in Washington, DC, on May 8th, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced his decision to withdraw the United States from the nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries and to re-impose sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
