RNA – According to Rasa News Agency, a passionate group seminary students gathered at Qom’s Feyziyeh Seminary and expressed their hatred of the United States one day after the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced its withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was signed between Iran and P5+1 group of countries (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council – China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States plus Germany) and the European Union in 2015.
Trump announced on Tuesday he would re-impose American economic sanctions on Iran to undermine what he called “a horrible one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made.”
At the protest, which took place with the participation and passionate presence of seminary students, teachers, clerics and seminary officials, the protestors shouted the slogans, “Down with America,” “Down with Israel,” “Down with the Hypocrites,” Down with the United Kingdom, Down With the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” “Curse be upon the British,” “Our Position is One Word” and “Set Fire to the JCPOA” and they also burnt a figurative copy of the JCPOA.
Speaking at the protest, Hujjat al-Islam Valiollah Louni, a senior teacher in the Islamic Seminary, spoke about the history of the hostility of the United States and Europe towards Iran’s Islamic system of government and urged the authorities to speak honestly with the public about the mistake of trusting the enemies.
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the keynote speaker of the conference, also spoke about the five Quranic principles against the disloyal enemies and added, “The United States, Israel and Europeans know that we are steadfast and we don’t believe that the JCPOA that they tore up has any worth.”
He added, “We tell the Zionists that they must be ready to be sink into the sea because all the Iranian people have pledged allegiance to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] once again and listen to the commands of the Wali al-Faqih [Guardian-Jurist].”
