RNA – Speaking during his advanced jurisprudence class at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani referred to the saying of Imam Ali “the source of sedition is whims and desires” and said, “The seditious individuals have created non-Islamic criteria and have mixed falsehood with truth such that the people cannot recognize it.”
The revered source of emulation added, “In our time, sedition is rampant and the enemies always mix falsehood with truth which makes it difficult for society to discern affairs and as long as there is no insight, mankind won’t escape sedition. The weapons in a ‘hard war’ are missiles and military equipment but the weapon in a ‘soft war’ is insight.”
Referring to the widespread dimensions of the enemies’ opposition to the Islamic Revolution and Islam, he warned against the enemies’ specific efforts and investment to influence the seminaries, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, “The enemies know that Muslims always adhere to the seminaries and they consider the great religious scholars to be the successors of the Prophet Muhammad and the imams and obey them.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom continued, “The enemies are trying to infiltrate the seminaries and bring its sedition to the seminaries. After the 1891 Tobacco Protest, when the enemies saw how powerful the sources of emulation are and how they can have an effect, they engaged in certain actions and are trying to create sedition in this regard.”
He stated that the enemies had realized the power of the seminaries and scholars and stressed, “For this reason, we see that all the enemies’ efforts are in regard to influencing the seminaries and therefore, we must be alert.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, “With the creation of ‘English Shi’ism,’ the enemies have created imitations of the sources of emulation, who enjoy greatness. Therefore, by establishing organizations, they have defined themselves as a reference. The enemies seek to undermine the Shi’ah seminaries and sources of emulation by imitating them. The old English colonizers gave gifts to the ‘English Shi’ahs’ and the Al Saud and we noticed that they were indifferent to the attack on the Iranian embassy in London.”
His Eminence emphasized that the officials of the seminaries and the seminary students must be vigilant and understand the enemies’ sedition. All praise be to God, the thought of Imam Khomeyni and the great scholars, such as Ayatollah Boroujerdi, dominated in the Islamic Seminary of Qom. The Islamic Seminary of Qom is a very strong institution and the insightful scholars must stand against sedition and the enemies cannot do anything.”
Remarking on the Iranian New Year, Norouz, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated, “Officials say that that have prepared everything for Norouz. It is good to provide, but we must act so that value and abundance are a blessing. Norouz for the people is when there is abundance, unemployment has been ended and livelihoods, production and employment have been created but statistics cannot be reported alone.”
