Rasa – The head of the Iraqi National Alliance said that the Iraqi people achieved victory over Daesh with the support of the sources of emulation, the tribes and the Husayni slogans.

RNA – In a meeting with a group of Iraqi youths, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, the chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said, “The youth must act in regard to their duty to build a strong government in Iraq.”

 

The senior Iraqi cleric and politician called for the presence of young people in various industries and fields, adding, “The National Wisdom Movement has very good experiences in the use of youth in different fields according to their aptitudes and abilities.”

 

In a meeting with a group of tribal elders from the town of al-Haydariyyah in Najaf Governorate, he stated, “In the upcoming parliamentary elections, we must elect those who have the qualifications and competence to build the future government of this country.”

 

Hujjat al-Islam al-Hakim said the Iraqi government needs plans and deliberation, “Iraq needs people who can solve the country’s problems.”

 

The head of the Iraqi National Alliance also met with some of the leaders of the tribes of Kufah, saying, “The tribes played a very significant role in combating terrorism and in opposition to the dictatorship of Saddam Husayn.”

 

He added, “The sources of emulation, the tribes and the Husayni slogans are the three pillars of the Iraqi people to overcome the problems and to resist against the existing dangers.”

 

Hujjat al-Islam al-Hakim emphasized that the Iraqi people have reached a high degree of awakening and have the ability to identify and choose the most correct choices for the future parliament.

 

His Eminence criticized the spread of rumours and their impact on the Iraqi people and said, “The opinion of the people of the world has shifted in favour of Iraq after the victory of the Iraqi people over the Daesh Takfiri terrorist phenomenon in Iraq.”

 

He said, “The formation of a strong government is not impossible and the victories of the Iraqi people over Daesh have a great responsibility for the people of the country that they must protect.”

 

Iraq’s parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on May 12th in 18 constituencies across Iraq, including areas freed from the occupation of Daesh forces, but some political groups in Iraq are trying to delay the parliamentary and provincial council elections through various excuses.
