RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Samsamoddin Ghavami, the Friday prayer leader of Qom’s Pardisan neighbourhood, stated, “During a meeting with the people of East Azerbaijani province [on February 18th], the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] referred to the plight of the Islamic Revolution and accused officials of backwardness in the administration of justice.”
His Eminence added, “According to official statistics and tables, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made progress in various areas, including medicine, nuclear, nanotechnology, lasers, defense, aerospace, stem cells and biotechnology.”
Explaining that Iran’s seminaries and universities are the centres of the production of knowledge, he said, “By training the revolutionary youth, with the virtue and the elite in these two centres, we can rapidly increase the country’s scientific progress in the world.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ghavami said, “Despite the eight years of war [Iran-Iraq War] that the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran imposed on the revolutionary people of Iran, and also after that, the country faced serious economic threats and sanctions, there were significant advances in various fields. It was supposed that these advances would be accompanied with the implementation of justice, the fair distribution of resources and the creation of equal opportunities to provide the right conditions for growth and prosperity in society. These are the indicators of justice in an Islamic government.”
The head of the Centre for the Jurisprudence of Islamic Management said that the country’s resources have not been fairly distributed and equal opportunities have not been given to the people and added, “Not all people were able to enjoy equal education and the like. Today, in some parts of the country, students are facing an unfavourable academic environment.”
He said that while some impious people in the country are plundering the resources of the country, the poor and segregated social groups, who are sometimes incapable of providing for their own daily necessities, are carrying the revolution on their shoulders in a difficult situation.
“Unfortunately, rentiers with influence in the government, the parliament, the government, political groups and political factions of the country, are working to advance their work and move ahead and go against the Islamic establishment,” His Eminence added.
Hujjat al-Islam Ghavami saying that the Islamic society of Iran is in suffering from problems and noted, “The religious people and revolutionaries have patience that the Islamic Revolution will remain but when the Supreme Leader states that justice has not been properly implemented in the country, this indicates that His Eminence wants to take action to realize this important issue.”
He stressed that a bureaucratic and technocratic government cannot establish justice in the country, saying, “If the president wants to establish justice in the country, he must follow the Leader.”
The Friday prayer leader of Pardisan argued that the country’s system needs to be reviewed and said that the main problem in the country is the lack of the implementation of Article 44 of the constitution. “Work should be entrusted in the hands of the people according to the standards of the Resistance Economy,” he said.
Article 44 states, in part, that the economy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to consist of three sectors: state, cooperative, and private, and is to be based on systematic and sound planning in accordance with Islamic criteria.
Hujjat al-Islam Ghavami added, “The Resistance Economy is based on justice and internal production and being outward-focused are among of its main attributes. The Resistance Economy enhances the national currency and creates prosperity for factories. If we put the economy of the country in the hands of the people, then the people can solve the problems of the economy by building factories and forming cooperatives.”
