RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah in Qom, Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, in his meeting in with the people of East Azerbaijan province on February 18, saying, “The main focus of his speech was on the necessity of revising the Islamic Revolution in order to understand its truths, its deep content, its services and functions. Other axes of his speech required the understanding of the dangers which threaten the Revolution and explanation of the priorities of the Islamic revolutionary front.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah added, “Despite the passing of 39 years since Iran’s Islamic Revolution, the dimensions and majesty of the Revolution haven’t yet been fully understood and explained. The Islamic Revolution is based on the revolution of the prophets as well as the civilizational, intellectual, global revolutions and is based on the people and wilayah (guardianship). From the point of view of the Supreme Leader, the focal point of the main function of the Islamic Revolution, is the transformation of a tyrannous regime into a democratic establishment.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi argued that the rule of a tyrant means aristocracy, corruption, looting and the plunder of national wealth as the right of the tyrants had resulted in an establishment of alienation, humiliation and a consumerist culture, along with the institutionalization of the inability of the people of the nation.
“Iran came close to collapse until Imam Khomeini liberated the Iranian nation from the yoke of slavery and institutionalized independence, liberty, authority, security, dignity and forward movement in the shadow of divine leadership and the deep linkage of the Ummah and Imamate,” he said.
Referring to the country’s priorities, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Qom said, “Third axis of Supreme leader`s statements was about the priorities such as progress, retreat, stagnation and future horizons based on the guidance of Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent], resistance to the arrogant powers, the realization of the Resistance Economy, the fight against corruption and aristocracy, the elimination of poverty and deprivation, solving social problems, the empowerment of vulnerable classes and the realization of justice and progress; which all must have been taken into consideration.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi added that the road to achieving the priorities and solving the problems of the country is that the people and the officials will strive through sincerity, reliance on God and ending the hope in foreigners to resolve the problems.
His Eminence said, “The officials must work harder to resolve the problems facing the country and it is not fair to associate their hypocrisy and weakness with the establishment and to demonstrate the establishment as unaccountable and blameworthy. Of course, the people understand all of these issues, and the people of various classes have announced their loyalty to the establishment and leadership.”
Emphasizing resistance against the enemies, His Eminence emphasized, “Officials must stand against the enemies and the arrogant powers because only in that case will progress, justice and material and spiritual excellence prevail in the country.”
Referring to the attacks by a group of Gonabadi dervishes in Tehran on Monday night, Ayatollah Sa’idi continued, “The recent sedition and confrontations in Tehran were of a terrorist nature, and those who, in the name of the dervishes, but with the approach of Daesh, committed sedition and denied the comfort and security of the people. The people expected the authorities to firmly and quickly deal with the seditionists.”
He stated, “These recent events proved that the seditionists are not worthy of Islamic mercy and the expectation of the people that these individuals will we brought to justice for their brutal acts. The seditionists, rioters and politically bankrupts must know that in the presence of such great Ummah, great leader and Islamic system they can’t do anything.”
In other remarks, Qom’s Friday prayer leader offered his condolences on the crash of an Aseman Airlines airplane on Sunday and the deaths of 66 people, saying, “This plane crash was very heavy for the Iranian nation and caused sorrow and affected the whole nation. We appreciate the efforts made to discover and transfer the bodies of the dead and we want the authorities to take action to prevent the repetition of such bitter events, as well as the destruction of the country’s capital.”
