RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah in Qom, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi said, “The positive look of the general Sunni people and the various Islamic denominations towards the Infallible and Purified Ahlul-Bayt and love toward the Fourteen Infallibles are among the common focuses and views of different Islamic denominations concerning the Ahlul-Bayt.”
In his second sermon, the head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran said, “We must thank God for the passionate presence of the people in the 22 Bahman marches because these marches stunned the whole world at the same time that the country was suffering from a series of cruel sanctions. This is the effect of religious democracy.”
He added, “The splendour, attendance and quality of this years’ marches was unmatched by its kind. The achievement of this passionate presence increased the power, security, national unity, empathy, revolutionary spirit and renewal of allegiance to Imam Khomeyni and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei].”
Ayatollah Arafi said, “The glorious presence of the people in the 22 Bahman marches is not a denial of the problems and mistakes [facing Iran] but rather it’s a renewal of allegiance to the ideals that will never be defeated and won’t end.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Seminary said, “Iran’s defence and missile defence issues are a matter regarding which Iran will not allow another JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] and the United States and the European powers didn’t give a good test regarding a nuclear agreement [similar to the JCPOA].”
He added, “American involvement in the recent riots in Iran and yesterday’s statement in defence of the heads of sedition is an apparent interference in Iran’s internal affairs. In the heart of the Islamic ummah, there is nothing but hatred of the United States and Zionism, and one day this hatred will destroy the palaces of the arrogant powers.”
Ayatollah Arafi called on the people to pay attention to a few points, “The presence of the people, while increasing their status in the world, is a revival of allegiance to the principle of the Islamic establishment and the message of this march to the ill-wishers of this establishment is that the people will not retreat in defence of their aspirations regarding the Islamic establishment and revolution.”
The dean of al-Mustafa International University called on officials not to pay attention to marginal issues, stressing, “We must pay attention to the foreign exchange market and the economic problems of the people and give a proper answer to the renewal of the people’s allegiance on 22 Bahman, in order not to give pretexts to the hands of enemies and ill-wishers.”
Addressing international issues, he stated, “We are witnessing bitter events against the Bahraini people and Ayatollah Isa Qasim at the regional level, which must be given consideration by the international community. We are witnessing the oppression of the Bahraini people and Ayatollah Isa Qasim and the United Nations and the countries of the world must give attention to this great oppression in order to prevent such aggressions from taking place in the world.”
Ayatollah Arafi considered the Israeli aggression against the Muslim countries of the region as intolerable and emphasized, “Israel is harming Muslim countries and Muslims can’t act with indifference regarding this issue and the countries of the world must be vigilant regarding Israel’s aggression.”
His Eminence stated that Iran’s defense issues were non-negotiable and added, “We are witnessing the analysis of the United States and some European countries regarding our defence issues every day. This is while we are firmly convinced that there will never be another JCPOA in the country and this is while that the United States and some Europe countries weren’t able to win the trust of the Iranian nation regarding the JCPOA and were scandalized.”
Qom’s Friday prayer leader emphasized, “The Supreme Leader and the Iranian people will not yield over the country’s defence issue in any manner and the United States and European countries cannot interfere in Iran’s affairs and they must understand that the hearts of the Iranian people are full of hatred towards the United States and Israel.”
