RNA – Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad-Taqi al-Modarresi, a senior Iraqi Shi’ah scholar, welcomed dialogue between Iraq’s central government and the authorities of the Kurdistan Region regarding the ongoing challenges in the region and remarked, “I hope that Iraq serves as a model for other nations to engage in peaceful negotiations rather than armed conflicts.”
