Shaykh Maher Abdul-Razzaq:
Rasa – The head of Lebanon’s Reform and Unity Movement emphasized the need for financial, arms, media and political support for the Palestinian intifada.
RNA – During a meeting with a Lebanese politician, Shaykh Maher Abdul-Razzaq, the head of Lebanon’s Reform and Unity Movement, condemned the terrorist attack in Sidon and the wounding of member of the Hamas movement.
Muhammad Hamdan, a senior official of the Palestinian political party and resistance movement, Hamas, was wounded in a terrorist attack in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon on 14 January as he tried to get into a car in a Sidon parking lot.
The Sunni cleric said the hands of the Zionist regime are apparent in this crime, saying, “The regime has always been working to undermine the security and stability of Lebanon and this terrorist attack is also a violation of Lebanon’s security.”
Shaykh Abdul-Razzaq said, “All Palestinian groups living in refugee camps must well understand the dangers of the conspiracy against the Lebanese and Palestinians and work with each other against the Zionist enemies in these two countries.”
He stated that the various Palestinian groups in Lebanon must be highly alert and cooperate with the Lebanese security forces in order to maintain the security and stability of the refugee camps and other areas of Lebanon and uncover all seditious projects which target the security of the country.
Pointing out that the path towards the liberation of Palestine is going in the right direction and he continued, “All must support the blessed Palestinian intifada with their wealth, weapons, media and politics. The intifada proved that the Palestinian issue never dies and is alive in the hearts and minds of the Islamic nations, especially Palestine.”
He also called on the Palestinian people to unite under a single project – the liberation of Jerusalem al-Quds and the entire territory of Palestine.
The head of Lebanon’s Reform and Unity Movement called for the various Lebanese political groups to negotiate in order to solve their disputes, adhere to the law and protect the achievements of the army and the Islamic Resistance and he also congratulated the Syrian army on their victories over the Daesh Takfiri terrorist phenomenon.
