RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Farrokhfal, the head of the General Assembly of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, who was present at the speech by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] on 9 January, appreciated the lofty personality of the Supreme Leader and referring to his strength, said, “The lesson from we learned from the discussions and guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is that we must be the guardians of the values of the Islamic establishment and the revolution.”
Speaking at a gathering with thousands of people from Qom on the anniversary of the January 9th, 1978 uprising in Qom, Ayatollah Khamenei said a “triangle” of enemies – with the United States and Israel comprising one of its sides, a rich Persian Gulf littoral state on its second side and the anti-Iran MKO terror organization on the third side – has been plotting for the past few months to foment chaos and violence in Iran.
Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Farrokhfal continued, “The Islamic Seminary of Qom, teachers, learned people and the laypeople of Qom and Iran are sympathetic. Each of the powers, institutions and even universities has their own duty but when we face the colonial movement and the ugly and offensive interference of the United States, the United Kingdom and other powers, we must stand up to them with power.”
The Iranian cleric referred to the unique resistance of the Iranian people against the hegemonic powers and stated, “Today, our society knows well what the enemies are planning to do. In the recent riots, the people quickly spotted the enemies and separated and left them alone.”
Nearly two weeks ago, some peaceful protests were held in certain Iranian cities against rising prices and the overall economic condition of the country. Limited numbers of violent individuals, some of them armed, later sought to turn the peaceful protests into street riots.
He added, “The enemies of our establishment and the values of our establishment are so foolish that they do not even have the power to recognize the magnitude and reality of the Islamic Republic and with their wrong calculations, they think that they can defeat this revolution with four rocks.”
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Farrokhfal stated, “The Islamic Revolution is the result of eight years of Sacred Defense [the Iran-Iraq War]. We are on the path of the architect of the revolution [Imam Khomeyni] and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is its steersman. The guarantee of the blood of the martyrs is beside him, as are the prayers of the elders and those who have sought to achieve sovereignty and religious knowledge. Thus, the enemies would have made a big mistake if they had opposed this country.”
