Rasa – A Bahraini cleric was arrested following a one-year prison sentence issued by the country’s court.
RNA – According to Rasa News Agency The security forces of Bahrain’s Al Khalifah regime arrested Hujjat al-Islam Hamzah al-Dayri, a former member of parliament and a member of the al-Wefaq National Islamic Society,.
The Bahraini cleric was detained by security forces immediately after his one year imprisonment sentence was issued because of “participation in the sit-in to defend Shi’ah leader, Ayatollah Isa Qasim.”
He had previously been fined for 500 dinars for participating in a rally in the town of al-Diraz.
