RNA – Speaking during his advanced jurisprudence class held at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani referred to a letter from the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, to his brother, Aqil, and said, “God Almighty has placed two centres and faculties in humankind, which is the basis of much of the content.”
The revered source of emulation added, “One is the faculty of thinking and reasoning, and the other is related to the states of fear and courage and so on. The faculty of intellect and reasoning is one of the other faculties of the mind. The faculty of thinking and reasoning of humankind must be active so that humankind follows the right path in various circumstances.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani argued that Islam deals with the faculties of reasoning and the mind and stated, “If it’s necessary to explain rational and argumentative material in order to satisfy a person and foster his thinking, Islam has been explained and is being explained. If people take these lesson seriously, the core of his intellect is strengthened.”
The prominent professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added, “At times, the other faculties must be strengthened, for example, and as long as we trust in God in fighting and confronting the enemies and are more braver, we will be stronger. However, if we are afraid, we will be in suffer problems.”
Referring to the recent statements made by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) in a gathering with thousands of people from Qom on the anniversary of the January 9th, 1978 uprising in Qom, he said, “The Supreme Leader insisted that we must be strong and resistant against the enemies. People from all over the country came to the streets against the riots and sedition and this demonstrates the faith and courage of the people.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said a “triangle” of enemies – with the United States and Israel comprising one of its sides, a rich Persian Gulf littoral state on its second side and the anti-Iran MKO terror organization on the third side – has been plotting for the past few months to foment chaos and violence in Iran.
He added, “Islam wants to strengthen its courage and participation on the frontlines because this action stands against indifference and silence. Islam stressed that Muslims must stand the battlefield and confront the enemies.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, “The Commander of the Faithful said that he [Aqil] must fight with those who broke their promises and agreements and come to the war of Islam against the enemies. [Imam Ali] was always worried that the foolish and lewd people would take the hands and the affairs of the people, just as the foolish president of the United States [Donald Trump] has done. Such people are working to attack the property of God, attack the righteous servants of God and accompany and assist the corrupt and resistance against the excesses of the enemies is the teaching of Islam.”
