Senior Hezbollah Official:
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Da’moush says that a new Israeli train line with a station named after Donald Trump is being built on stolen Palestinian land.
RNA – Speaking at a ceremony held at the Zaynab Complex in Beirut, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Da’moush, the vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, said, “The evasion by some Arab and Islamic systems from their responsibilities towards the Palestinian issue and their seeking to normalize relations with the Zionist enemies and also the plotting by Saudi Arabia with Donald Trump led the president of the United States to dare to declare Jerusalem al-Quds as the capital of the regime.”
The Lebanese cleric added that this issue has led the Zionist regime to encourage the expansion of settlements and insert Trump’s name on a train line project in Jerusalem al-Quds and added, “The request by Avigdor Lieberman, the Defense Minister of Israel, to execute Palestinian prisoners is also under way.”
Israel’s Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, Yisrael Katz, has announced that a stop on the train route between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem which passes the Western Wall or Noble Sanctuary, as it is known to Muslims, will be named after Donald Trump following his 6 December announcement recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush emphasized the enemies’ increased attempts to bring an end to the Palestinian issue saying, “Lieberman’s project is mad, criminal, wild and unconventional project that shows the Zionist terroristic and inhuman mentality in engaging with Palestinians and Arabs.”
His Eminence described the allegiance of the Palestinian people in regard to this project as impossible, saying, “Since the Oslo Accords, negotiations and efforts have been made to bring the Palestinian people to their knees and to bring an end to their resistance and jihad against the occupation, so that relations with the enemies would be normal, but the people of Palestine, regardless of these issues, continue to support the intifada and resistance.”
He continued, “Palestinians have not relented from their right to return to their land and to form a government and nobody can take this right from them. The Zionist regime is an occupying and aggressive regime that does not have a right over Jerusalem al-Quds or even an inch of Palestinian soil.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush referred to the fact that Trump’s decision cannot change the facts and make the occupier the rightful owner and said, “The Palestinian people have no choice but to begin an intifada and engage in resistance to regain their territory and rights because the enemies can only be defeated through force and resistance and in 1993, 1996, 2000 and 2006, they were defeated through resistance in the Gaza Strip and in Lebanon.”
