Senior Hezbollah Official:
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Da’moush criticized the practice of some Arab governments, saying that the stones of the Palestinian children are stronger than most Arab summits and meetings.
RNA – Speaking at the commemoration of one of the martyrs of Hezbollah in the husayniyah of the southern Lebanese village of Dayr Siryan, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Da’moush, the vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah said, “Those who continue to act against the Islamic Resistance [Hezbollah] and dream of destroying the Resistance must face complete despair because they will not achieve their goals and no one has the ability to eradicate the Resistance in Lebanon which has been ingrained in the people of this country.”
The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added, “The Islamic Resistance is a shadow of security for Lebanon in opposition to the Zionist enemies and Takfiri groups and we adhere to our own option – the Islamic Resistance – because it has achieved brilliant results and also brought victory to the ummah.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush stressed that the groups opposed to the Islamic Resistance engage in negotiations, give concessions and surrender to the enemies and therefore, they will not achieve any results.
He criticized the actions of some Arab governments and added, “The course that some Arab regimes have taken towards the issue of Jerusalem al-Quds and their thoughts of useless negotiations and the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime are considered as the main factors in the current situation and these factors have a role in the United States’ plots against Jerusalem al-Quds.”
His Eminence continued, “The shameful and weak positions of the Arabs against [the President of the United States Donald] Trump made him more determined than ever to implement his decision without the Arab kings and emirs reacting to this issue.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush noted that Arab governments, even symbolically, did not threaten to cut ties and stop their negotiations with the Zionist regime and not only did they not hold any extraordinary summit, but some of these regimes accompanied Trump and the so-called ‘decision of the century.’”
The senior Hezbollah official pointed out that the position of these Arab regimes has led to bolder remarks from Trump and stronger threats to the world, he stressed, “Trump is closed to the positions of the United Nations Security Council and the consensus of the United Nations General Assembly, and the dangerous issue is that the main decision-makers accompany Trump and [the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin] Netanyahu.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush described “intifada and resistance” as the best responses to the Zionist occupiers and said, “The Zionist regime is not afraid of Arab summits and weak positions, but is afraid of the jihad, resistance and sacrifice of the Palestinian people. The stones of the Palestinian children are stronger than most Arab summits and meetings.”
On December 6th, Trump defied global warnings and said Washington formally recognized Jerusalem al-Quds as the “capital” of Israel and would begin the process of moving its embassy to the occupied city, breaking with decades of American policy.
