Leader of Iraq’s Asa’ib Ahl al-Haqq Movement in Iraq:
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Qays al-Khazali noted that the United States, the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia are the main enemies of the Iraqi people and supported the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.
RNA – Speaking at a ceremony celebrating Iraq’s victory over Daesh in Karbala province, Hujjat al-Islam Qays al-Khazali, the secretary-general of Iraq’s Asa’ib Ahl al-Haqq [“League of Righteous People”] Movement, said, “We felt the danger of Daesh, which occupied nearly a third of Iraq’s territory and sought to completely destroy Iraq.”
The Iraqi Shi’ah cleric said the true friends of the Iraqi people are those supported the country against terrorism and added, “Now that the Iraqi people have been victorious over terrorism, many countries have congratulated us on this victory. Thus, we must not be deceived by the enemies and we must distinguish our friends from the enemies.”
Hujjat al-Islam Khazali considered the Zionist regime to be the utmost enemy of the Iraqi people and explained that the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group did not kill Muslims alone and did not even kill one Israeli citizen. The Zionist regime publicly treated wounded Daesh soldiers in its hospitals.
He considered the United States as the next enemy of the Iraqi people and said, “The United States only defended Erbil using its planes and did nothing to defend Baghdad against terrorism.”
The secretary-general of Iraq’s Asa’ib Ahl al-Haqq Movement said the third enemy of the Iraqi people was the House of Saud and said more than 5,000 terrorists were sent to Iraq to carry out suicide bombings by the House of Saud.
Hujjat al-Islam Khazali added that by supporting Daesh, Saudi Arabia sought to exterminate the Iraqi people, but after seeing the victory of the people of this country over terrorism, they are now seeking to deceive them.
The London-based “New Arab” news website cited an Iraqi Interior Ministry official who said that Saudi nationals reportedly comprise the largest number of the foreign terrorists arrested during Iraqi army operations against the Daesh in the northern and western parts of the country.
The Takfiri outfit invaded Iraq in 2014 and overtook around a third of the country’s expanse in exceptionally brutal attacks.
Iraqi armed forces then started to reverse Daesh’s territorial gains one after another. They managed to retake all the lost territory last month with the help of volunteer forces and Iranian military advisors.
Iraq’s Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi declared the end of war against Daesh last week.
