RNA – According to Rasa News Agency, during a meeting with a group of commanders and members of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a Najaf-based source of emulation, congratulated “the victory of the people of the country” against the Daesh terrorist group and the complete liberation of Iraq from “the gang of criminals.”
“These victories were carried out because of the faiths and loyalties to the sacred soil of Iraq and the prayers of Iraq’s religious authorities,” Ayatollah al-Najafi said, praising “the courage and sacrifice of Iraqi forces.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Najafi, the son of Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi and the director of the office of Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, also told the commanders and members of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces that “after liberating the country from Daesh terrorists, the Iraqi people should take care of the cunning enemies and increase the level of security.”
In a televised address on Saturday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi declared the full liberation of the country from Daesh terrorists after Iraqi forces recaptured all the areas once seized by the terror group.
