RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Hasan Alemi, the representative of the people of Khorasan Razavi province in the Assembly of Experts, referred to the various victories by the Islamic Resistance Front over the arrogant powers of the world and said, “These victories, especially the recent victory over Daesh, will have widespread and dramatic effects in the region and the world.”
The Iranian cleric added, “From the third decade of the Islamic Revolution, we have been in some sort of conflict with terrorist movements which but with the precise assessment, pervasive outlook and unconventional decision-making by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], this movement has been under watch. The enemies, according to their plans, wanted to use this group to break up the Islamic ummah and create another Israel neighbouring Iran in the region.”
Ayatollah Alemi explained that Israel pursues its plots under the banner of Zionism and Judaism and stated, “It was supposed that the terrorists, under the name of God Almighty, the Prophet of Islam [Muhammad] and with the appearance of Islam would form another Zionist regime in the region.”
His Eminence added, “If this hostile conspiracy were to be actualized, there would be a worse Israel bordering Iran and the region would face a very serious threat. The content, the internal darkness and poison of these terrorists would not differ from Zionism but it would seemingly be an Islamic state.”
He stated that the infidel terrorists, who outwardly appear to be Muslims, have deceived many young Muslims and added, “The enemies are trying to destroy the Islamic ummah by relying on the wealth and resources of the Muslims in order to break up the Muslim world.”
Ayatollah Alemi said, “This terrorist movement was a disgrace for Islam and Muslims and there are many harmful effects in the world against Islam and the damages that have been created must be resolved through intellectual and cultural activities.”
He said, “The terrorists seized a large part of Syria and Iraq in a very short time. If this deviant movement was not properly managed, today we would not have witnessed the victory over the terrorists. At the beginning of this conflict, some people said that Bashar al-Asad should not be supported but the Supreme Leader managed this movement with precise management.”
Ayatollah Alemi added, “The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution understood and managed this terrorist movement well and precisely. The Supreme Leader engaged in this issue with a deep and enlightened perspective and correctly advanced on the path. The defeat of Daesh was a wonderful and miraculous event and this victory is the result of the graceful, deep and precise outlook and unparalleled direction of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”
On December 9th, Iraqi Prime Minister Hayder al-Abadi declared complete victory over the so-called Islamic State (or Daesh) after years of battling the terrorist organization. Daesh is also on the run in Syria and only continues to occupy small portions of the country as an offensive by Syrian, Russian, Iranian and the Islamic Resistance continues to fight against the group.
