RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zonnour, the head of the Clerical Faction of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, referred to today’s meeting of the Clerical Faction and said, “During today’s meeting, the Clerical Faction discussed the “amateurish” actions by [the President of the United States Donald] Trump in announcing the transfer of the American embassy [from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds] in the occupied [Palestinian] territories. This issue will be discussed and a review will take place.”
Trump sparked international outrage on Wednesday when he declared that the United States was recognizing Jerusalem al-Quds as the “capital” of Israel and that he had instructed his administration to begin the process of moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to the ancient city.
