RNA – In a message issued on Tuesday, the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, referred to the recent letter of Iran’s Major-General Qasem Soleymani to the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and said, “In this letter, we read the true taste of the victory over the terrorist movement of Daesh, and this triumph was so obvious to us, as was the blood of martyrs of war against the Daesh terrorist group.”
"The blood of the martyrs of war against Daesh is the way of guidance, truth and a declaration of aversion to the enemies of God and Prophet Muhammad and the victory of humanity against oppression, injustice and hate," they stated in the message.
The Iraqi Sunni scholars also noted, “If it wasn’t for the obligatory jihad fatwa issued by the sources of emulation, the guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the support of the people of Iran, such victories against terrorism would have been impossible.”
In his congratulatory message to the Supreme Leader on Tuesday, Major-General Soleymani hailed the “great victory” over Daesh which he said materialized due to the prudent leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei and the sacrifices of all resistance fighters in Iraq and Syria.
Major-General Soleymani praised the steadfastness of the Iraqi and Syrian people, governments, armies and popular forces throughout the battles against terrorism, paying special homage to the endeavors and struggles of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, better known as the Hashd al-Sha’abi, in the offensive to annihilate Daesh.
