RNA – Referring to the final statement of the Arab League Foreign Ministers’ summit in the Egyptian capital of Cairo and the accusations against Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Yasin, the head of the Association of Scholars of Tyre, said the statement and decisions taken at the Cairo summit are due to the Arab League’s distance from the main concepts and the themes of terrorism and said, “The Arab League must first explain terrorism and the concept of it well. They resist the freedom of nations and countries and the official protest of the Lebanese government to this meeting is fully in line with the sovereignty of the country.”

The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added, “All of these decisions cannot diminish or undermine the resolve and determination of the Islamic Resistance [Hezbollah] which is based on resistance to the Zionist and American projects. Resistant nations will not fail to reach their goals until their fate is achieved.”

Hujjat al-Islam Yasin condemned the Arab League’s statement against Hezbollah, calling it a part of the Arab League’s end-of-the-line series.

He called the Arab countries that called the Islamic Resistance “a terrorist organization” as outside the equation of the Zionist-Arab conflict and argued, “We should not expect a positive attitude toward the Islamic Resistance, which fights to liberate territory from the Zionist and Takfiri enemies, from anyone who would condemn the Syrian government because of its resistance against terrorist groups.”

His Eminence said that the Arab League’s naming Hezbollah as a terrorist organization opens an opportunity for the Zionist regime to attack Lebanon and continued, “Standing alongside the Islamic Resistance means to stand against terrorism and to support the Palestinian cause, which the Islamic Republic of Iran supports with funds, weapons and political assistance.”

Hujjat al-Islam Yasin appreciated thanked Islamic Republic of Iran for its unconditional assistance.

On November 21st, 21 foreign ministers of the 22 member states of the Arab League gathered at the League’s headquarters in Cairo for an emergency meeting called by Saudi Arabia to discuss what Riyadh claims “violations” committed by Iran.

Lebanon’s foreign minister, Jibran Bassil, didn’t attend the summit but instead was represented by Antoine Azzam, Lebanon’s permanent representative to the Arab League.

Saudi Arabia has ramped up its campaign against Iran and Hezbollah and tried to persuade most of the of the Arab League to condemn Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
