RNA – Speaking at a ceremony held in the Imam al-Khomayni Husayniyah in the Lebanese city of Baalbek, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyid, the chairman of the Security Council of Hezbollah, said, “Great developments and events are taking place in the Middle East region and one of the most important events is the imminent destruction of [the Takfiri terrorist group] Daesh. Of course, this does not mean that Daesh is defeated but the system of the supporters and exploiters of this group have suffered a defeat.”

The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric described Daesh as an instrument for realizing the interests of the Zionist regime and added, “The defeat of Daesh has political implications for the fate of the region because overthrowing this project will also lead to overthrowing of their political project.”

He said, “Although Saudi Arabia has used all means at its disposal against Yemen for more than three years, it has not achieved any of its goals in this country and has only killed women, children and elders, has spread hunger and increased the number of the victims of disease.”

Hujjat al-Islam Amin al-Sayyid argued that Yemen will surely be victorious over the tyrants and added, “After Yemen, Saudi Arabia was looking for a place where there they had many allies and could implement their failed plans and on this basis they came to Lebanon to fight against Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.”

His Eminence added that Saudi Arabia’s summoning of Sa’ad al-Hariri and forcing him to resign as the prime minister of the Lebanon was one of these measures to show that Lebanon’s fate is in Saudi Arabia’s hands but this issue has only clarified who the true men of Lebanon are.

al-Hariri stunned Lebanon and the region by announcing his resignation in a live television broadcast from Saudi Arabia on November 4.

Senior sources close to Hariri and top Lebanese political and security officials said Saudi Arabia had coerced Hariri into stepping down and had put him under house arrest.

The senior Hezbollah official emphasized, “Lebanese President Michel Aoun was one of the men who stood with power against Saudi Arabia’s plots and did not allow the country to be destroyed such that Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon, and 99 percent of the Lebanese people, have united in defence of their country.”

Hujjat al-Islam Amin al-Sayyid noted that Saudi Arabia was eyeing Hezbollah’s reaction but this party displayed a strong, brave, self-assertive and accountable form and demonstrated great covetousness over the independence and sovereignty of this country.

He said a small number of citizens have demonstrated that are were strongly interested in a civil war and sedition in Lebanon and are waiting for the day when they would be the spectators of a war between Muslims and Christians, as well as between Shi’ah and Sunni Muslims, in the small multi-religious country.

Referring to the widespread spreading of lies and deceit by Saudi Arabia, Hujjat al-Islam Amin al-Sayyid said, “Certainly, the Saudi plots to create war, conflict and bloodshed in Lebanon have been defeated and this country is smaller than that which can harm Lebanon.”
