RNA – Speaking to a gathering of pilgrims participating the Arba’in al-Husayni pilgrimage at a camp on the road to the Holy Shine of Imam al-Husayn in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala, Dr. Hasan Rahimpour-Azghadi pointing out that the Shi’ahs of Iraq were oppressed and weakened under former Iraqi dictator Saddam Husayn and the Americans and said, “After eight years of war and hundreds of thousands of victims, Imam al-Husayn was able to create this affection between Iran and Iraq.”

The member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution stressed that throughout the year, the Iraqi people save up their income to pay the costs of hosting the pilgrims participating in the Arba’in al-Husayni and added, “Serving the pilgrims of Imam al-Husayn is a great honour for these people and such people are rare. In my opinion, in this case they are more hospitable and self-sacrificing than the Iranian people.”

He called the eight-year-long Iran-Iraq War as a global war and continued, “The recent wars in Syria, Iraq and Yemen are the continuation of the previous seditious actions of the enemies but now Syria and Iraq have been liberated. This revolution of Imam al-Husayn and the Ahlul-Bayt has destroyed the sedition of Daesh.”

Dr. Rahimpour-Azghadi stated that the plots of the enemies are currently being defeated and said, “Although the issue of the separation of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region is no longer discussed among the people and many measures have been taken to overthrow this act of sedition, this danger still remains.”

Referring to the fact that the Shi’ah act as the ‘party of truth’ and in a unified manner, he stated, “These people are not present in any political group seeking personal interests because they are not interested in power and wealth.”

The Iranian scholar considered the love of the friends of God with the hostility to the enemies of God as one of the signs of faith and said, “Some think that someone with morality loves everyone and doesn’t have any problem with anyone, while if one is subject to the truth and morality, he cannot be negligent towards oppression and immorality.”

Dr. Rahimpour-Azghadi emphasized that the true followers of Imam al-Husayn mustn’t have any connection with the enemies of Shi’ism and Islam and said, “If those who don’t have any problem with the enemies of Islam and Shi’ism were present on the day of Ashura, they would be indifferent to the martyrdom of Imam al-Husayn.”

The expert in cultural affairs explained that recently, Iran been victorious over the global arrogance in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and some other countries and said, “Yemen was the backyard of the United States and Saudi Arabia but now the Yemenis have fired their missiles at Riyadh.”

He described the epic of Arba’in al-Husayni as a sign of the realization of the victory of Hezbollah and added, “The presence of various nationalities in the epic of Arba’in al-Husayni is a demonstration of the power of the wave of the Islamic Awakening, which the enemies didn’t foresee.”

Dr. Rahimpour-Azghadi continued, “Shi’ism is not something stated in vain because silence and the management of one’s words is emphasized in Shi’ism. If a person speaks in vain, he hasn’t been taught silence and speaks and writes without ethics. Also, publishing incorrect messages online without regard to the rights of others doesn’t belong in Shi’ism and believers.”

The prominent university professor emphasized that there is no person who will find tranquility without faith in God Almighty and said, “Some in the field of politics start from the city council and after years of working, they reach the status of a minister or the head of the council but ultimately due to the lack of virtue and faith they cannot find tranquillity because their greed doesn’t end, this is also the case for the people of the seminary and other sections of society.”
