RNA – Speaking at a scientific meeting titled “Investigating the Dimensions of the Arba’in Walk and Its Position in Religious Tourism” at the University of Science and Culture and Academic Jihad, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Moballeghi, said, “Arba’in has characteristics of social openness – the non-acceptance of standstill – and characteristics of social comfort – the development of mankind’s religiosity at the community level.”

The head of the Islamic Research Centre of the Islamic Consultative Assembly continued, “These two traits have made the community members to being at the peak of kindness with each other and has distanced the sinners, disingenuous, hypocrites and the deceivers from the community level.”

He referring to the fact that the Arba’in is a social gathering full of social truth and said, “What emanates from the entire Arba’in al-Husayni pilgrimage today is the social justice of humankind which reflects on their behaviour in the form of morality and goodness.”

Hujjat al-Islam Moballeghi referred to the great and emerging phenomenon of Arba’in and described it as a great miracle in the present century and said, “The epic of Arba’in the largest social and human event and is filled with indescribable ethics and this has prompted surprise from the sociologists and analysts of the world.”

The member of the Assembly of Experts noted, “One of the great traits of Arba’in is that all the factors which separates Arab and non-Arabs will be broken and the people will be more united and sympathetic than at any other time.”

He added, “Today, the world is watching a great social dynamic in the Arba’in al-Husayni pilgrimage and the silence by analysts and the media doesn’t mean to ignore this social phenomenon but rather they are currently in a state of contemplation and delay in relation to this phenomenon.”

His Eminence said sociologists will open a special account and file of the smaller and more common phenomena and won’t be negligent in relation to generational and ultra-generational movements, like Arba’in, and added, “Arba’in is a large social movement of a generation which generations attend with morality, vision, purpose, perception, thought and an internal role.”

Hujjat al-Islam Moballeghi stated, “‘Religious openness’ means looking away from the indifferent people, taking time to traverse, looking at the furthest horizons and removing desperation from the community and Arba’in is an event which involves great social openness in which stalemate, stubbornness, obstruction and reaching an end point has no meaning. This massive flood creates hope, intellectuality, thought and the unacceptance of the destruction of aspirations.”

Referring to the fact that Arba’in is a social opening, he said, “The term ‘inshirah,’ which means ‘opening,’ is a religious term which we have rarely focused on which is reflected in verses such as ‘Did We not open your breast for you? [94:1].’”

The Iranian cleric said that from the perspective of religious terminology, the word Arabic “sharh” means broadening, expanding, finding truth and looking at the whole life and life of this world and the hereafter.

Hujjat al-Islam Moballeghi added, “In fact, ‘opening’ is the introduction to the acceptance of Islam and ‘submission’ is the result of a transformation that occurs within man. Those who participated in the Arba’in pilgrimage know that the degree of human truth is reaching the highest level.”
