RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Quds Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri offered his condolences on the martyrdom anniversary of the third infallible imam, Hasan ibn Ali al-Mujtaba, saying, “Regarding Imam al-Hasan, the Prophet of Islam [Muhammad] said ‘God loves the person who loves Hasan.’”
Referring to the upcoming commemoration of Arba’in al-Husayn, the member of the Supreme Council of the Seminary said, “Every year, millions of people from all over the world walk in the path of love. Arba’in has become the symbol of Shi’ah power and greatness in the world and the capacity of this pilgrimage must be used to revive and expand Islamic values and unify the Islamic ummah, especially the Shi’ahs.”
He noted the occasion of “Teenagers Day” which occurs on October 30th, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Mohammad-Hoseyn Fahmideh, a 13-year-old boy from Qom who disabled an Iraqi tank and halted the advance of an entire Iraqi tank column at the cost of his life, saying, “He followed the example of the martyrs of Karbala and we hope that today’s teenagers will attain the same awareness through the education by their teachers and parents and will also understand the needs of society.”
In another part of his Friday prayer sermon, Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri referred to the nonsensical and insolent statements by American officials against the Islamic Republic of Iran, said, “Over the past few days, we have witnessed the statement by the President of the United States [Donald Trump] and the imprudent actions of the rebellious American government. That which the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] has said over the years is true – ‘the United States cannot be trusted’ – and this important point has become evident for the authorities and people.”
The member of the board of directors of the Assembly of Experts added, “The United States isn’t trusted in the international equations of a state and this issue is a bargaining chip for the people and the authorities. If we haven’t done anything else, demonstrating the image of the United States as a disreputable and scandalous power in the world is sufficient. The enemies initially sought to prevent the Islamic Revolution from achieving victory and after it was victorious, they tried to contain it.”
His Eminence said, “The enemies wanted to change the officials’ calculations so that they would speak according to their will and to act on the basis of their wishes. Fortunately, today the enemies have started a new movement with complete anger and the reason for the anger of the enemies is due to their many failures in the region.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri added, “In the words of the Americans, their power in the region has fallen and Iran’s power in the region is at its peak. No incident occurs in the region except by the will of the holy system of the Islamic Republic. The enemies of Iran have imposed sanctions on the country but its defensive power has increased several times over and when they imposed pressure on us, the influence of the Islamic Republic was multiplied.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom argued that Iran is the centre of resistance in the region and added, “The enemies are angry about this issue. Today, the United States is more isolated in the world than ever before and this is a sign of the greatness of the nation of Iran. Daesh has faced a firm defeat and the United States claims that it has been involved in the fight against Daesh despite the fact that they weren’t far behind them and while they created terrorists to target Iran.”.
He stressed, “The Islamic Revolution has been victorious due to hidden divine assistance and continued and due to divine grace, it will continue to be victorious due to the same assistance and with the destruction of the enemies, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution told the Iraqi Prime Minister [Haydar al-Abadi] ‘you must not be neglectful and be deceived by the Americans. If they find a chance, they will strike Iraq. We almost must not be neglectful and we must be alert, people must remain on the battleground in all fronts so that the enemies don’t dare to act against the nation.’”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said, “Today, Kirkuk has been liberated by the will of the army, the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Islamic Revolution and Islamic Iran. The enemies used the Iraqi Kurdish Region as a scheme to target Islamic Iran but in a very short time, Kirkuk was liberated with the tact and planning of the brave commander of the Islamic Republic [Qasem Soleymani].”
