RNA – In a speech to a number of senior political officials of Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese village of Burj al-Shamali, Hujjat al-Islam Hasan Baghdadi, a member of the Central Council of Hezbollah, reviewed the latest security situation in the area and said, “The terrorist and Takfiri phenomenon of Daesh is on the verse of complete collapse in Syria which is a sign of the decline of the American policies in the region.”
The senior Lebanese Shi’ah cleric said, “Whoever has followed the positions and speeches by leaders and officials of the Zionist occupation regime yesterday regarding the issue of the firing of some rockets at the occupied Golan Heights and how they refused to accept the accusations that [the Zionist Defense Minister] Avigdor Lieberman launched against Hezbollah knows exactly what the Israeli position is and is how it is unreliable.”
Hujjat al-Islam Baghdadi noted, “We believe that the Islamic Resistance Axis will soon be able to control the fate of the region. The balance of power has changed and the United States is no longer the commanding officer in the world and most countries have come out against American policies.”
Lieberman has come under fire for his baseless assertion that five rockets launched from Syria’s occupied Golan Heights on Saturday were launched by Hezbollah on the alleged “personal orders” of the party’s leader, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah.
“We are not talking about spillover,” Lieberman said in an address to his far-right parliamentary faction.
“There was a personal instruction by Nasrallah to compartmentalize [Bashar] al-Asad and his regime from the execution of this shooting... with the goal of dragging us into the Syrian mire,” the Zionist Defence Minister added.
Within hours, however, military officials were quoted in every major Israeli media outlet cast doubt on the statement by the head of the Israeli armed forces, indicating confusion in the ranks of authorities.
