RNA – In an interview, Hujjat al-Islam Abdullah al-Daqqaq, the representative of Bahraini religious leader, Ayatollah Isa Qasim, stressed upon the necessity of unions and non-governmental organizations in all Islamic countries to spread the culture of solidarity.

He called for involvement of renowned figures for expansion of Islamic solidarity in all countries.

The senior Bahraini cleric hailed the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in launching proximity unions and said, “These unions should approach Islamic unity as a necessary option for future and not a tactical measure” adding, “In that case, institutions which include elites from different walks of life can confront seditious projects like Daesh and al-Qaedah who have afflicted the body of Islamic nations as cancerous tumours.”

Hujjat al-Islam al-Daqqaq proposed the formation of an expert committee to identify renowned figures and influential non-governmental organizations in all Islamic countries to hold talks on cultural and social issues in line with expansion of the culture of proximity and Islamic unity.

He also related on hurdles challenging Islamic unity and noted, “Plots by the arrogant powers led by the US and Zionist regime and other Western countries, who follow policy of divide and rule, among such issues.”

His Eminence called some Arab and Islamic leaders as playthings for other countries and counted confrontation of some religious and social figures with Islamic unity as two issues which block realization of Islamic solidarity.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Daqqaq also referred to a soft war which has targeted religious identity of Islamic communities and urged scholars and Muslim rulers to stand against enemies of Islam.
