RNA – In a meeting with the organizers of the first Palestinian Solidarity Convention, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani remarked, “Occupied Palestine has been under attacks for many years, the homes and land of the Palestinian people have been destroyed or occupied. According to the Holy Quran, when you see a young person who is in trouble, you must try to help him or her.”
The Shi’ah cleric added, “When mankind acts independently as if they are the centre of the universe, they attempt to invade others’ rights and oppress the less fortunate. Therefore, a true Muslim must not tolerate injustice when they see it.”
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said, “Muslim countries must stand united and help other nations, but unfortunately, we see that some countries are under the impression of colonial powers and they do not support the oppressed nations. Those politicians who claim to be the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques must try to help the oppressed and do not cooperate with enemies of Islam.”
Asserting that the International Union of Youth slams the Zionist regime for occupying Palestinian territories and voices support for the oppressed nation of Palestine, His Eminence added, “This movement can inform the world about the atrocities of the occupier Zionist regime. Such international events pave the way for supporting the Muslim Palestinian nations until they reach their final victory over the Zionists.”
