RNA – In a meeting with the members of the Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah Arba’in Mawkib (camp) at his office in Qom, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani thighlighted the importance of taking part in the Arba’in pilgrimage saying, “Throughout history, supporters of the righteous front have fought their battles through spiritual means whereas the infidels recourse to materialistic weapons and worldly powers.”
The revered source of emulation added, “According to the narrations of the Ahlul-Bayt, attending the Arba’in pilgrimage is a sign of being a true lover of the Ahlul-Bayt because all the dictators and oppressive rulers of the past have tried to undermine Imam Husayn’s uprising and the doctrine of Ahlul-Bayt.”
Pointing out the restrictions placed on Arba’in pilgrimage in some countries, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani asserted, “This year, Muslims from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain cannot take part in the Arba’in pilgrimage. Last year, some Egyptians who attended the event were later interrogated by authorities upon returning to their country.”
The top cleric further reiterated that Arba’in pilgrimage serves as a great way for Shi’ah Muslims to pay respect to their beloved Imam Husayn and said, “The Arba’in pilgrimage is a great Shi’ah procession which gains more and more attention and significance year by year, this is a symbol of a genuine Islamic movement.”
