RNA - According to Rasa News Agency, a conference entitled "Review of the Book of Thor'at al-Imam al-Hussein (AS) by the late Allamah Mohammad Mehdi Shams al-Din", held by the Imam Sadiq Community in the Hussainiyah of Qabrikha region in Lebanon.
The conference was attended by Hojatoleslam Shaikh Hassan Baghdadi, a member of the Hezbollah Central Council and other Hezbollah members.
"Since 1979, we have never lost the taste of victory and we’ve experienced victory after victory since then. Our activities exceeded the boundaries and we’ve become part of the equation that depicts the political future of the region,” Sheikh al-Baghdadi said during the conference.
He added that the sacrifice of martyrs and warriors shows that there is a wise and brave leader who has trained such forces, and demonstrates the Jihadi spirit of the Islamic Ummah.
The Lebanese cleric said: "The US and the Zionist regime and some of the regional governments have set up ISIS to ruin the wealth and destroy the entire area, but now that they failed in face of the resistance forces and have reached to their end in Syria and Iraq, they are seeking to take revenge by pressuring Iran for its nuclear program.”
“Listing Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) as a terrorist group was for the same reason as well,” he said adding that “while the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, is equipped with the weapon of knowledge and logic and international supports and is defending the Iranian nation according to their right to defend themselves and the dignity of the nation, US president Donald Trump has even failed in its efforts to form a coalition along with his interests.”
In response to a question regarding the the “Jihadi spirit of the nation” and whether the nation is “ready to stand against oppression and hypocrisy,” he said: “All the recent developments proves the fact that the revolutionary spirit is present at the heart of the nation as is expanding every day, with the help of God. This issue is quite obvious in Iran as well. With God’s grace, we are in the path of victory.”
Israel launched two wars on Lebanon in 2000 and 2006, during both of which the resistance fighters inflicted heavy losses on the regime’s military. About 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians, lost their lives during the 33-day war in the summer of 2006.
In April, Hezbollah’s deputy leader Naim Qassem said the group’s high level of defense readiness has so far deterred Israel from launching a new act of aggression against the country, warning that any such war would end in a “guaranteed loss” for the regime.
Earlier in April, Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri warned against signs of Israel’s desire to wage another war on Lebanon after Tel Aviv unveiled the latest addition to its missile system.
