Hujjat al-Islam Musawi-Safawi leads procession to commemorate martyrdom of Imam al-Sajjad in Kashmir
RNA – On October 16, the Anjuman-e Shari’-ye Shi’ayan in the capital of Indian-occupied Kashmir organized a mourning procession in the Shalimar area of Srinagar city to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth Shi’ah imam, Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Sajjad.
Thousands of mourners participated in the procession that was led by senior Kashmiri separatist leader and the president of the Anjuman-e Shari’-ye Shi’ayan, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Hasan Musawi-Safawi.
After the culmination of noon prayers at Zaynab Park Shalimar, Hujjat al-Islam Musawi-Safawi addressed tens and thousands of mourners. He talked in length about martyrdom of Imam al-Sajjad.
He also threw light on life and teachings of Imam Husayn and asked people to follow the path and teachings of Islam.
“The martyrs of Karbala have set an example before us through their deeds, which will remain until the last day of this world,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Musawi-Safawi also prayed for the whole Muslim ummah for their religious peace, unity and integrity.
He said that Imam al-Sajjad showed us a path that we ought to follow and said, “His serene character, boldness and spirituality made him eternal. This name will live until eternity.”
Hujjat al-Islam Musawi-Safawi also condemned the recent statement by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, in regard to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said that the anti-Muslim United States can’t break the resolve of people of Iran and its government.
