RNA – In his first class of the new academic year on Quranic exegesis held at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli slammed the recent remarks by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Iran and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) saying, “Our politicians, our administration, our military forces and members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and every single Iranian citizen support the Islamic Revolution and stand with what it represents because this revolution truly belongs to the people and they do not care for an outsider’s hateful speech.”
The senior Shi’ah scholar further pointed out the US’ long history of oppression and crimes worldwide and added, “This enemy which is showing its hostility towards Iran has already murdered more than 70 million people during the two World Wars. The American administration is standing on top of 70 million graves of people whom they killed during the two World Wars. They are still continuing to slaughter innocent people but they do so through proxy wars. The US government is behind present wars in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Myanmar.
In conclusion, Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli urged Iranian officials as well as the people to stand united in the face of the enemies.
