Rasa – The Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought described discord and disunity as the main challenge facing the Muslim world.

RNA – Addressing an international conference on Islamic unity in Tehran, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, underlined the need for efforts in the Muslim world for enhancing unity and convergence.


He said the conference is aimed at coming up with a practical strategy for unifying activists in the field of Islamic unity.
 

He also noted that another aim of the conference is making establishment of new Islamic proximity institutions in the Muslim world purposeful.


Organized on the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the conference began at Azadi Hotel in Tehran on Wednesday morning.
