Rasa - Muslims from different countries gathered at the Islamic Center of Ahlul-Bayt (AS) in the city of Cologne, Germany to commemorate the Day of Ashura. The ceremony was attended by Shaykh Seyed Morteza Kashmiri, the representative of Ayatollah Sistani in Europe.
Sheikh Kashmiri said during the ceremony that the Ashura rituals are one of the sources of Islamic culture that people of different civilizations should use to cultivate their soul.
Referring to a hadith from Imam Sadiq (AS), he said: those who keep alive the name of prophet’s progeny (PBUT) by holding religious rituals, their hearts will remain alive when all hearts die.
The representative of Ayatollah Sistani in Europe stated: "Preachers should evaluate scientific and religious level of listeners and speak in a way that they can clearly understand.
Participants in Ashura gatherings should increase their religious and cultural knowledge when leaving the gathering, and be able to introduce the culture of Ahlul Bayt to their friends, colleagues and neighbors, and answer their questions.
He also thanked Iraqi fighters who “adhered to the Fatwa of Jihad issued by Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani and went to the battlefields of fighting against terrorism.”
