RNA - An Iraqi source of emulation in the holy city of Najaf, Ayatollah Bashir Najafi, in a meeting with seminary officials, nomads and Iraqi diplomats, emphasized the importance of following the Sirah of prophet’s progeny and said: "Our holy Imams (AS) are the path to promotion of human piety and Virtues. Preachers and scholars of the seminary should seek to propagate the original Mohammadan (PBUH) Islam derived from the Sirah of prophet’s progeny (AS).”
"Iraqi diplomats should pay special attention to the religious tourism industry in this country, in particular the pilgrimage of the holy shrines, and show the true face of foundations and values of the Iraqi people to the world," the Ayatollah said.
The Iraqi religious authority described the seminary of Najaf as the defender of the pure Islam, saying that the victories of the Iraqi army and popular mobilization forces over the ISIL terrorist group are continuation of the victory of Karbala and Imam Hussein (AS).
He warned against the enemy's attempts to distort the image of Islam and insisted that followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) should defend the holy city of Najaf where he described as “the base of pure Islam and Shi'ite religion.”
“The Iraqi nomads stood up and resisted against all the dangers and threats and now they are responsible for the preservation of national unity.”
Ayatollah Najafi added: "The enemies of Islam and Iraq are seeking to destroy the beliefs of our children and divert the path of the Islamic Ummah.”
