RNA – In an interview with Reza News Agency, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki referred to the statements made by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, at the United Nations General Assembly on September 19, saying, “A person like Trump, who was successful in his bid to become the president of the United States, suggests that there is an imbalance in this system of government.”

The secretary-general of the World Forum for the Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts added, “Trump is someone who is not at the level that a president of any country is expected to be at. Even if the United States was a small country, a person such person as Trump would not be deserving of becoming the president of this country.”

Ayatollah Araki said, “Trump’s mannerisms and conduct are not at the level of a president at all and our comments in this regard have nothing to say about his religion. But in the custom of the people, when someone heads the station of presidency, he must have ethics appropriate to all countries. Trump has no culture nor morality, nor the knowledge appropriate to this position.”

The renowned Iranian cleric stressed, “When Trump speaks against the people of the world, he calls the dignity of the American people into question and the American people themselves must act and choose a president who is at the level of their country. They should not be satisfied with such a president and the first steps against Trump should be taken by the American people themselves.”

He remarked, “They have to take this disgrace away from the history of the American nation. Trump’s words against Iran are not consistent with logic nor with the principles of diplomacy and these words do not benefit Trump himself nor do they benefit the American people but rather through the Islamic Republic of Iran, the American front is becoming weaker and is accelerating the defeat of the United States.”

In conclusion, Ayatollah Araki said, “Such irreconcilable statements by Trump demonstrates that he has lost the ability to confront the Islamic Resistance Front and does not have the calm nerves of a politician and this is an indication that he has been completely defeated in his position and has lost the ability to govern a country. We believe that such actions by Trump indicate his weakness and his inefficiency.”

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, among other comments, Trump launched a tirade accusing Iran of “supporting terrorists” and branded the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as “an embarrassment” for the United States.

He said the deal, known as, was “one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States has ever entered into.”
