RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Alauddin al-Jazayeri, the deputy secretary general of Iraq’s al- Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba [the Movement of the Party of God’s Nobles], a major Shi’ah resistance group, praised Iran’s “unfailing” support for the resistance front in Iraq in the battle against Daesh terrorists.

Hujjat al-Islam Jazayeri hailed the Iranian government, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in particular, for its "unfailing" support for the resistance front in the fight against terrorism in Iraq.

He made the remark in a recent meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Marvi, a senior official at the Leader’s office, in the holy city of Najaf.

Hujjat al-Islam Marvi, for his part, described the Nujaba Movement as a true example of a jihadi group and a role model for the Islamic ummah (community).

Iran has been providing advisory assistance to Iraq at the request of the Arab country’s government.

Iraqi army soldiers and allied fighters from Popular Mobilization Forces have been leading a major operation to rid the country of the Takfiri elements.

Recently, they managed to liberate Tal Afar and Mosul from the grip of the terrorists.

Iraqi forces launched the Tal Afar liberation operation on August 20, one month after fully recapturing the country’s second biggest city, Mosul, which was Daesh’s so-called “capital” in Iraq.

Daesh unleashed a campaign of death and destruction in Iraq in 2014, but it is currently retreating from much of the territory under its control in the Arab country due to recent advances made by the Iraqi forces on the battlefield.
