RNA – In a message, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Murtadha al-Sanadi, the head of the al-Wafa Islamic Party, called on all Bahrainis to participate extensively in the demonstrations organized under the title “Repudiation of the Arrogant Powers.”
In his message the Bahraini Shi’ah cleric said, “I urge all Bahrainis to participate in the ‘Repudiation of the Arrogant Powers’ demonstrations on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah [August 31st] all over Bahrain and to express in a heartfelt, rational and practical method that they repudiate the Al Khalifah regime ruling over Bahrain and the supporters of this regime.”
He added that the current American ambassador to Bahrain, William Roebuck, is considered as one of the most prominent ambassadors and he met with rivals and opposition leaders of the Al Khalifah regime and noted, “This is considered as a form of soft warfare and this issue must be avoided.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Sanadi warned against the Al Khalifah regime’s social and sports programs, arguing that they are aimed of bringing people closer to the regime, and argued, “These programs do not seek any souvenir and only consolidate the policies of humiliation that are surely about the achieving the goals of the Al Khalifah regime against the Bahraini people.”
He also referred to the ongoing crimes by the Al Khalifah regime against the Bahraini people, in particular the siege of the graves of the martyrs and the prevention of the presence of the families of the martyrs in the cemeteries.
Pointing to the upcoming 2018 parliamentary elections in the country, the head of the al-Wafa Islamic Party said, “The Al Khalifah regime is unveiling the individuals who defend the regime in order to have their allies elected to the parliament. The plan seeks to replace the real representatives of the Bahraini people, who are currently imprisoned, with their allies.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Sanadi stressed, “We call on the people to stand against the tyranny and arrogance of the Al Khalifah and not to be affected by the various methods of the regime and its supporters.”
His Eminence added, “We send our salutations to Ayatollah Isa Qasim [the spiritual leader of Bahraini Shi’ahs] who is now besieged in his home in the district of al-Diraz, as well as the leaders of the revolution, the families of the martyrs and victims of the crimes of the Al Khalifah.”
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam al-Sanadi said, “This year, along with the Repudiation of the Arrogant Powers ritual in the desert of Arafah, the Repudiation of the Arrogant Powers demonstrations will be held with the invitation of Bahraini revolutionary groups throughout this country.”
