RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jalal Razavi-Mehr explained that today, the Hajj pilgrimage is a great and large congregation where pilgrims to the “House of God” [Ka’bah] in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah are the leaders of this honour and brotherhood and added, “This great congregation can revive the culture of friendship, brotherhood and friendship, along with dignity and authority, among all Islamic schools of thought.”
The member of the executive committee of the Association of Representatives of Seminary Students noted, “The Hajj can separate the pessimistic spirit from the hearts of the Muslims and eliminate the causes of factionalism. Islamic unity originates from the Quran and revives the Ka’bah and the Prophet of Mercy [Muhammad] among the Muslims.”
He emphasized that both the Shi’ah brothers and the Sunni brothers have stressed that we must avoid anything that causes pessimism and division of the great Islamic ummah because these are considered as great sins.
Hujjat al-Islam Razavi-Mehr emphasized that all Muslims should act as a united hand against the enemies of the Quran and humanity and defend the Quran, Islam and the dignity of the Muslims and stated, “Any move that leads to the humiliation of Muslims is definitely rejected and was considered as an obscene act and as one of the greater sins.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Hamadan described the most valuable message of the Hajj as the spirit of unity, avoidance of neglect and elimination of ignorance, and said, “The Hajj’s great capacity to eliminate indignation should be used.”
He noted that the extremism among any person, group and denomination isn’t acceptable and said, “Unfortunately, today the enemies are ruling over Muslim hearts through their policies of creating political divisions in the Islamic world.”
Hujjat al-Islam Razavi-Mehr stated, “The plot of Israel and the United States is to create division by putting pressure on the various groups in the ummah of the Prophet Muhammad and it’s not deserving of the Prophet’s ummah to suffer from such apocalyptic sedition.”
His Eminence continued, “The greatness of the Hajj is due to the criteria recommended by the Holy Prophet and the great focus of these criteria is the Quranic command to be ‘hard against the faithless and merciful amongst [our]selves.’”
He emphasized, “Oh pilgrims around the House of God! Before you circumambulate around the Ka’bah, circumambulate your hearts and cleanse your hearts of rust so that we can demonstrate an image of Islam to the world which is free from violence and divisiveness, which is the true face of Islam.”
Hujjat al-Islam Razavi-Mehr said that today, enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong must be revived as a principle among all religions and we must abstain from prejudice and harsh behaviour and concluded, “Today, all Islamic denominations must denounce the Zionist-created Daesh terrorist group with one voice and declare that the Takfiris are not from any Muslim group.”
