RNA – Speaking at a ceremony held in the southern Lebanese village of Kounin for the martyr Hajj Ali Dib, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Hashim Safiuddin, the chairman of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, said, “The Islamic Resistance [Hezbollah] has entered a new and advanced stage and we don’t have much time to devote to responding to the futile words of some Lebanese politicians.”

The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added, “We are quite familiar with our enemies and we know that they don’t expect our victory to continue in Syria and we are a great resistance in Lebanon and are engaged in supporting the society and our ummah.”

Hujjat al-Islam Safiuddin described the actions of the Lebanese army in Jaroud al-Qa’a and Ras Baalbek against the terrorists as meaningful and important, noting, “The Syrian Arab Army, alongside the Islamic Resistance, is also fighting to clear the western al-Qalamoun countryside and Flitah, which was a difficult and excellent operation. We thank the commanders of the Syrian army and the heroic forces who cut off the geographical connection among the terrorists in Lebanon and Syria.”

He continued, “We are on the verge of two great victories – that of the Lebanese army in this country and the Islamic Resistance and the Syrian army on the Syrian border and we stand alongside them until these two victories are joined together and until the security of the borders of these two countries and the destruction of the terrorists who follow the ideology of al-Qaedah and Daesh are realized.”

On August 21st, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah secured two large hills from Daesh which give them oversight over most of the defenses and settlements held by the terrorist group throughout the rugged region.

Hujjat al-Islam Safiuddin condemned Saudi Arabia’s crimes against the Yemeni people and said, “At a special meeting on August 18, the United Nations Security Council reviewed the crimes carried out by Saudi Arabia in Yemen and [the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General to Yemen, Ismail Ould Shaykh Ahmad] stated that 500,000 Yemeni people are suffering from cholera and 2,000 children, women and elderly people have lost their lives due to the outbreak.”

The senior member of the Islamic Resistance continued, “Saudi Arabia continues to maintain its position and doesn’t allow humanitarian aid to be provided to the Yemeni people. This speech wasn’t from one of the officials of Hezbollah, but from one of the representatives of the United Nations which was made at a meeting of the Security Council.”

He stressed upon the necessity for the Security Council to condemn these crimes and called for Saudi officials to be tried in an international court over the country’s siege on Yemen and massacre of the Arab country’s people, especially since Saudi Arabia is fully aware that their continued killing of the Yemeni people and their siege has led to an outbreak of cholera and various other illnesses.

Hujjat al-Islam Safiuddin pointed out that the dear and heroic people of Yemen will not back down and are by no means affected by Saudi-American actions.
