RNA – In a speech during a memorial ceremony honouring the martyr Ali Muhammad Haydar in the southern Lebanese town of Tayr Harfa, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyid, the chairman of the Security Council of Hezbollah, said that the current achievements in the war against the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group indicate that we are close to defeating the American-Zionist project in the region.
The Shi’ah Lebanese cleric added that the ability for the United States realize its goals of domination over the Middle East is a very distant and it cannot impose its control again.
Hujjat al-Islam Amin al-Sayyid said the blood of the martyrs will shape the future of the region and Islam and change the face of the region and not the American and Israeli plans.
Referring to goals of the United States in establishing the Daesh terrorist group, the senior member of Hezbollah said, “Distorting Islam and religion, distancing the youth and future generations from Islam, encouraging corruption, creating despair regarding the fact that religion is the source of hope for life and destroying the armies and governments which oppose the hegemonic powers and the occupying Zionist regime are among these goals.”
Hujjat al-Islam Amin al-Sayyid added, “We have been standing against the colonialist powers for years and we have repeatedly defeated this project in Lebanon. The United States and the Zionist regime have once again sought to destroy our power and our destiny.”
Lebanon’s border areas have been hardly hit by the spillover from the Syria crisis over the past few years.
The Lebanese army says its forces have advanced along the Syrian border, tightening the noose on the areas controlled by Daesh Takfiri militants over the past few days.
