RNA – In a statement, Ayatollah Abdul-Amir Qablan has strongly condemned the Takfiri terrorist attacks against civilians in Afghanistan and Burkina Faso.
The head of the Supreme Shi’ah Parliament of Lebanon stressed that acts of terrorism are savage crimes which are transmitted from one country to another and added, “Terrorists do not differentiate between children, the elderly or men and women and for this reason, the terrorists have become enemies of all humanity.”
Ayatollah Qablan added that the killing of innocent people in the village of Mirza Olang in Afghanistan’s northern Sar-e Pol province as well as the attack in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, is indicative of the condemnation of brutality in all religions, conventions and treaties.
“Takfiri terrorism doesn’t know anything except the language of murder and displacement,” he stressed.
The Lebanese Shi’ah scholar stressed the need for a comprehensive and concerted effort to eradicate terrorism and stated, “All governments should play a role in the destruction of terrorism and dry up the resources and funding of this phenomenon and not allow the emergence of an environment which incubates such an ideology.”
He added, “Muslims of different sects must unite with each other in the battle against the Takfiri ideology and terrorist groups because neglect of this evil pestilence is by no means permissible and fighting against it is a religious duty.”
Ayatollah Qablan offered his condolences regarding this incident to the families of the victims and prayed to God for the annihilation of terrorism and the distancing of society from the crimes carried out by Takfiri terrorists.
On August 10, the predominantly Shi’ah village of Mirza Olang fell into the hands of the Taliban and after capturing more than 150 families from the village, 60 of them were executed at gunpoint or beheaded.
Over the past five days, after mediation with local elders, the prisoners of war of this village were released from captivity.
The militants also set fire to several mosques and torched at least 30 houses.
More than 22 people were wounded after terrorists raided a upscale Turkish restaurant, Aziz Istanbul, in Burkina Faso’s capital, Ouagadougou, on the evening of August 13th and started shooting at people there.
The terrorists, who were of foreign origin, also took 170 people hostage. The al-Qaedah Takfiri terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
