RNA – Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of a member of Hezbollah at al-Imam al-Sadiq Husayniyah in northeastern Lebanese town of Suhalat al-Ma’a in the district of Hermel, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyid, the chairman of the Security Council of Hezbollah, said, saying, “We are fighting in Syria against the intended US-Israeli project. We are now in the final stage of this war.”

The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added that the Syrian Arab Army and the youths of the Islamic Resistance and their allies were able to defeat the Zionist-American project in Syria.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Sayyid said, “Thanks to these warriors and the martyrs, the entire border area between Lebanon and Syria from al-Qasr to al-Masnaa has been cleared from the danger of the terrorists and those who seek the continuation of the crisis in Syria are now seeking a political solution which we were talking about the first of the crisis.”

Hezbollah recently concluded a six-day joint offensive against Daesh Takfiri terrorists with the Syrian army in the highlands of Arsal bordering Syria.
The Islamic Resistance movement later said it had accomplished the main objective of the Arsal campaign.

Lebanon’s border areas have been hardly hit by the spillover from the Syria crisis over the past few years.

Some 400 Daesh terrorists are holed up in areas on the Lebanese side of the frontier, while hundreds more are on the Syrian side, according to Lebanon’s Interior Minister Nohad al-Mashnouq.
