Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani:
Rasa – The revered source of emulation said: “I’ve repeatedly emphasized that the enemies’ target is Islam and their opposition to Iran means the Islamic Republic. It’s necessary for all of us to put our indifference aside and enter the battlefield.”

RNA – In a meeting with a group of seminarians and staff of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani described the current situation of the Islamic society as very sensitive and said, “The enemies have come to the battlefield with full power.”

The revered source of emulation added, “I’ve repeatedly emphasized that the enemies’ target is Islam and their opposition to Iran means the Islamic Republic. It’s necessary for all of us to put our indifference aside and enter the battlefield.”

He said that we must follow the commandments of Islam in their real meaning and stated, “The art of Imam [Khomeyni] was that he didn’t adopt isolation and entered the battlefield to bring the commandments of Islam to the realm of the people. We must introduce the truth of religion to the world and recognise Islamic ethics.”

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani noted that today, the world is thirsty for morality, saying, “In society, we see that some people easily lie and slander and dishonour the dignity of the people. Today, we have the duty to ‘enjoin the good and forbid the evil’ in accordance with religious and legal standards.”

His Eminence stated that in opposition to the evils committed in the world, we must enjoin the good and forbid the evil and added, “Today, we must stand against the vices that are committed in the world, such as the killing of the people of Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Palestine and be sensitive toward the oppression that is being imposed on the people of Bahrain and their scholars and express our disgust to the perpetrators of these crimes and their masters – the United States and the Zionists, who are at the head of all these tragedies.”

He said, “Today, the enemies are attacking influential individuals and institutions such as Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent], the seminaries, the universities and the armed forces and are trying to destroy them. If these individuals and institutions weren’t affected, the enemies wouldn’t have any work but they saw the seminaries and scholars were the pioneers of the Islamic Revolution and the universities are a place of enlightenment.”

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani noted that the enemies see that Wilayat al-Faqih was able to protect Iran from humiliation and the enemies saw the power of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who with their reliance on God, were able to open their eyes.

The prominent teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added, “The enemies and ill-wishers saw what the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom in the country could do and how they crippled them during the Holy Defense [Iran-Iraq War]. Today, in Syria, they sacrifice their lives, like the martyr Mohsen Hojjaji, but they don’t abandon the holy shrines of the Ahlul-Bayt to the enemies. They are those who have been educated in the seminaries, universities, Basij forces and mosques.”

The Iranian cleric emphasized that we must be careful not to damage the values of the Islamic Revolution, saying, “Unfortunately, some individuals have somehow attacked these institutions, either through ignorance and neglect or God forbid, deliberately coordinating with the enemies.”

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani added, “We must be careful not to feed the enemies and not do anything which isn’t in accordance with our responsibilities. Responsibilities and positions are security and we’re responsible for protecting them. We all have a duty to serve our people within our area of responsibility and must strive to protect the system.”
