Pakistani Shi’ah Cleric:
Rasa – The chairman of the Association of Shi’ah Scholars of Punjab called extremist speakers and eulogists as the source of religious dissension in religion in Pakistan and added, “Such speakers are members and servants of British intelligence agency Mi6.”

RNA – Speaking at a ceremony in Pakistan’s second largest city of Lahore, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Sibtayn Haydar Sabzewari, the chairman of the Association of Shi’ah Scholars of
Punjab province called on the people to abstain from extremism and dissension.

Referring to the Quranic verse, “Hold fast, all together, to the rope of God, and do not be divided [into sects]” [3,103], he called Muslims toward unity and sympathy, the Pakistani Shi’ah cleric said, “At the present time, the Islamic world requires more unity than ever because the enemies have used the option of dissension to launch war and bloodshed in the Islamic world.”

Hujjat al-Islam Sabzewari explained that the message “Conference of the Great Glad Tidings” that was held a few days ago in the Jami’at al-Muntadhar Seminary in Lahore was to respect religious values and the great sources of emulation, saying, “During the era of the occultation [of Imam al-Mahdi], the sources of emulation are the basis of the Shi’ah sect and respect for the sources of emulation is respect for the Imam of the Time and the religious values of Shi’ism.”

He strongly condemned the disrespect toward the sources of emulation by those who dress in the clothes of the clergymen and extremist eulogists and emphasized, “Extremist speakers and eulogists are members and servants of the United Kingdom’s Mi6 intelligence agency.”

Referring to the fact that the sources of emulation saved Iraq from the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, Hujjat al-Islam Sabzewari stated, “The wise plans of the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani defeated the conspiracy of the imperialist powers in the region.”

In June 2014, Ayatollah al-Sistani called on all Iraqi citizens to defend “the country, its people, the honour of its citizens, and its sacred sites against the threats posed by the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.”

He said that Shi’ah speakers who abuse the sanctities of Sunnis have led to many Shi’ahs being martyred by extremist Sunnis in Pakistan and said, “Cursing and abusing Sunni religious personalities are against religious and Islamic teachings and the sources of emulation have always warned against this issue.”
