Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi called on international organizations and human rights organizations to have a voice in the relief of the oppressed people of the town of al-Awamiyyah which is being destroyed by Saudi forces.

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi said that after the approval of Iraqi Prime Minister, Haydar al-Abadi, the Iraqi army, the police, Popular Mobilization Forces and the air force launched a operation and were able to successfully liberate 250 square kilometres of the Hamrin Mountains in eastern Diyala Governorate from the clutches of the Daesh terrorist movement. 


A local police source announced that a joint force of Diyala police and Tribal Mobilization Forces carried out an operation in the village of al-Safra village in the Hamrin Mountains and destroyed two rest houses used by Daesh forces.


“The air force destroyed the bridges that Daesh used to transport people and equipment in the city of Tal Afar,” the Iraqi cleric added. 


Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi added that the opening of the Turaybil border crossing between Iraq and Jordan reflects the destruction of Daesh in the area.
 

He responded to the attempts to ban the presence of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the campaign to liberate Tal Afar due to their fear of revenge against them, saying, “The morality of the members of the Popular Mobilization Forces is far from revenge and they will offer their lives to liberate the people of Tal Afar from Daesh.”


The United States and Turkey, along with officials in the Kurdistan Regional Government, have publicly opposed the involvement of the Popular Mobilization Forces in retaking the majority-Turkmen city.


In other remarks, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi stressed upon the importance of free competition in Iraq’s April 2018 elections and the rejection of the dominance of big parties and called on the public to elect the most suitable representatives to go to the Iraqi parliament and avoid from the political factionalism.


He said, “The presence of some foreign ministers from regional countries in Iraq last week shows the political stability in Iraq and the role of the international influence of the country in important issues of the Middle East.”


The Friday prayer leader of Najaf continued, saying the failure of 273 members of the House of Representatives, ministers and deputies of the president to declare their assets and financial accounts by has raised various questions and doubts in this regard among the people.


His Eminence also condemned the high cost of electricity fees and the lack of clarity of the criteria used to estimate the fees charged, stressing that the estimation of fees without controls is unacceptable.


In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi referred to the ongoing destruction, killing and looting of property by Saudi security forces on the Shi’ah-dominated town of al-Awamiyyah, the country’s Eastern Province and called on international organizations and human rights organizations to have a voice in the relief of the oppressed people of al-Awamiyyah.
