RNA – Speaking during the second joint meeting of the Board of Directors of the Assembly of Experts, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, the chairman of the Assembly of Experts, said, “Today, we’re facing the conditions where the most severe sanctions have been imposed on Iran and some have attacked the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).”
The senior Iranian politician and cleric added that some have targeted the IRGC, which are constantly in a state of service, because they cannot harm the position of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
He stated, “Definitely an attack on the IRGC and the Marine Corps is aimed at the implementation of the Americans’ goals.”
On Wednesday, the US House of Representatives’ has approved a draft law on fresh sanctions against Iran.
Ayatollah Jannati described sedition as an everlasting and sensitive subject and said, “In all conditions, the issue of sedition must to be given its due consideration. We should always strive to thwart the influence of the seditionists in key executive agencies since the main goal of the seditionists is to penetrate executive positions.”
He also considered the issue of subversion as another of the dangers of the current era and emphasized, “I want all the members of the Assembly of Experts to take the issue of subversion very seriously. The enemies are always seeking subversion and certainly, they seek to open such a path from within the country.”
The head of the Assembly of Experts outlined the ultimate goal of the enemies in Ira, saying, “The enemies are attacking the security, economic, military and political arenas in order to ultimately eliminate Islam.”
His Eminence stressed, “We must work hard together, and in addition to being aware, we must have insight and we must give consideration to all matters of the Islamic world.”
Decoding the series of sanctions imposed by Western powers on Iran, Ayatollah Jannati said, “Today, the heaviest sanctions imposed by the enemies on Iran’s Islamic system of government have been directed towards the ultimate goal of attacking the leadership of society.”
He added, “We should all take responsibility for the internal destruction that has taken place. I have also done some important work in this regard, which I will talk about later.”
His Eminence said that scholars and lecturers should be very active as this is a sensitive issue that should be expressed to everyone.
Ayatollah Jannati said, “Today, a new intifada has begun in Palestine, which is very important. We should all know that the issue of the al-Aqsa Mosque is at the heart of the Islamic world.”
