RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi praised the bravery of the Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces and said, “By relying on the ability and the strength of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Syrian and Iraqi borders will be protected.”
Referring to the recent crisis in the Persian Gulf where Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt abruptly cut off diplomatic relations with Qatar, the Iraqi cleric said: “The creation of conflict between the Gulf states is a result of the collapse and erosion of the axis of supporters of terrorism.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi said the coalition of Gulf countries against Qatar was the result of the trip by US President Donald Trump and added, “The recent events in the region are part of a plots of the colonial powers to divide the region.”
He stressed, “Given the current situation in the region, we will soon see the destruction of dictatorships and hereditary regimes.”
His Eminence said that the June 7th terrorist attacks on the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in Tehran were “irrational and stupid.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi offered his condolences to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and to the government and people of Iran, saying, “We are confident that there will be no more threats to Iran and all the plots and plans by the enemies against this country will be defeated.”
Najaf’s Friday prayer leader announced that the bombing of the Great Mosque of al-Nouri and its leaning minaret demonstrates that the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group had been defeated in battle and stressed, “We await the liberation of the entire city of Mosul during the holy days of Eid al-Fitr by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.”
Regarding the question of the Kurdish referendum on secession from Iraq, he said, “Remaining in the bosom of Iraq is the only option for the Kurdish people.”
Despite this, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi referred to the hostile statements made by some against the Kurdish brethren, he rejected the hateful statements against the Kurds, saying, “The Kurds are one of the ethnic groups of Iraq and negative statements against the Kurds are not the correct solution to the crisis.”
The Iraqi cleric said that the International Day of al-Quds, which the late Imam Khomeyni established on the last Friday of Ramadhan, has made the Palestinian cause a centre of common concern for all Muslims.
“Today, we express our stance against the Zionist threat which extends throughout the Islamic world and our determination is to liberate Palestine and the Takfiri phenomenon which the Zionists created is a plot to destroy Islamic unity,” he said.
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi referred to the growing concerns in Israel over the recent events in the region, the first of which was Daesh’s embarrassing defeat in Iraq, the second is the internal coup in Saudi Arabia, the disintegration of the fabric of the Al Saud family, and the third is Iran’s increasing missile capability after hitting a Daesh base in Dayr al-Zawr and said, “In the near future, we will see a shift in the region which will benefit the liberation of the people.”
