Iranian Sunni Cleric:
Rasa – Molavi Salami said, “The decisive positions of the Supreme Leader come from the power of his faith and the people of Iran.”
Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami

RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami said that the missile attack by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Daesh bases in the Syrian province of Dayr al-Zawr on Sunday was an act which “pleased God, made our people happy and strengthened Iran’s Islamic system of government.”

The representative of Sistani and Balouchestan province in the Assembly of Experts continued, “The attack has increased the security of the nation so pray for these loved ones so that God Almighty will grant them more success.”

Referring to the verses of the Holy Quran on equipping Muslims with the weapons of war, Molavi Salami said, “It is obligatory for every Islamic state to prepare the people, both individually and socially, to defend the country from attacks from the enemies. Through this missile attack, the message of the verses of the Quran were achieved.”

The Iranian Sunni cleric warned the enemies, saying, “The enemies must know that our forces are ready to defend our country at any moment, and if they attack us, they will not achieve their goals, because we will defend this holy system and our territorial integrity with all our might.”

Molavi Salami emphasized the decisive positions of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, against the enemies and said, “The warnings of the Supreme Leader arise from the power of his faith and the people of Iran. As a result, when the daring attacks by enemies occurred in the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeyni, this attack was a firm response to those attacks.”

Iran’s IRGC fired six medium-range ground-to-ground ballistic missiles at Daesh bases in Syria’s Dayr al-Zawr on Sunday in retaliation for twin terrorist attacks in the Iranian capital Tehran, which killed 17 people and injured over 50 others on June 7.
