Qom Friday Prayer Leader:
Rasa – Ayatollah Saidi said, “Although the military and physical battles have ended, the enemies are at war against us with all their might in various fields, particularly in the political, economic and cultural fields.”
Ayatollah ‌Saidi

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Saidi referred to the International Day of al-Quds, which occurs on the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan and said, “The vigilant and great Iranian nation participates in the al-Quds Day marches and their presence encourages the oppressed and resistant Palestinian people lays the groundwork for the destruction of the Zionist regime.”

The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah pointed to the recent statements by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and said, “Our revolution is a cultural and a valuable revolution and for this reason, from the beginning until now, the Supreme Leader has only been concerned with the originality and identity of the revolution.”

He said that if the authenticity of the Islamic Revolution is distorted, nothing of Islam and the outer aspects of the Revolution will remain and added, “Several times, the Leader has used the terminology of war in several fields, including the cultural fields. He has used terms such as cultural assault,’ ‘cultural invasion,’ ‘soft war’ and so on.”

Ayatollah Saidi said the reason for the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on this issue is that the people and officials know that although the military and physical battles have ended, the enemies are at war against us with all their might in various fields, particularly in the political, economic and cultural fields.

“This is exemplified by the unfaithfulness of the United States regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and its conspiracy to establish an ‘Arab NATO’ against Iran,” he said.

His Eminence said the presence and influence of Daesh and Takfiri terrorists in Iran became obvious after US President Donald Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia in May and the enemies could undertake an evil plot in Iran, which enjoys widespread security.

“The security and intelligence agencies are alert and combating terrorism and we thank them,” he added.

Ayatollah Saidi pointed to the cultural attacks on culture from all sides against Iran and said, “For a long time, the enemies have been put attacking our religious values and our nation on the top of their agenda and that which has been placed in the 2030 Agenda [for Sustainable Development] is just one example of this cultural invasion. This war is not over yet.”

Referring to the US Congress’ resolution to impose new sanctions against Iran on Thursday, he said, “The Americans only think about their own interests and they don’t only follow this approach with Iran but even with their allies, especially the Europeans.”

He said the US government doesn’t negotiate with any country or nation, except in cases of emergency. Through their threats of sanctions, coup d’états, assassinations and invasions, they won’t achieve anything and when negotiating they apply their arrogant and cunning nature.

Ayatollah Saidi said that the Americans have fundamental problem with Islam and the Islamic Revolution and think of destabilising it and this is the reason for the Iranian peoples’ distrust of the US. “We must confront the enemies with the weapons of faith and authority,” he added.

He stressed that the US cannot scare our people because they only fear God Almighty. During these days, the militaries and the people of Syria and Iraq, by using Iran’s successful experiences of dealing with the aggressors, will continue their struggle until Daesh takes its last breaths and its supporters are suffocated.
